G.A.M.E. Summer Youth Social – August 23, 2024
Calling all youth aged 12 to 17 to our free GAME Summer Youth Social to be held in Burlington on August 23, 2024.
Helping vulnerable youth and seniors impacted by the lack of social and economic support through supportive programs.
Our programs are designed to target vulnerable youth and isolated seniors, with some youth programs designed primarily for vulnerable individuals within the Black community. We are offering support in three broad areas: health, education / mentoring, and employment.
We invite everyone to connect with us as we fulfil our mission.
Nate’s testimonial highlights the transformative impact of Re-Imagine Ontario’s J.O.B.S. program on his life. As a 20-year-old political science student at York University, Nate shares how the program equipped him with essential skills such as writing cover letters and preparing for interviews, which ultimately helped him secure a job at York University. His experience illustrates how the program fosters not just job readiness, but also personal growth and confidence through mentorship and community support.
Nate speaks to the broader challenges young people, particularly in his community, face in accessing opportunities and finding guidance. He emphasizes the importance of having mentors and support systems, like those offered by Re-Imagine Ontario, to help youth stay on track and unlock their potential. This testimonial is a powerful example of how the J.O.B.S. program empowers youth to overcome barriers and build a brighter future.
Our Job Opportunities for Building Skills (JOBS) program aims to connect young job seekers 18-30 years who face employment challenges, with employers offering apprenticeships or on-the-job training. The program also offers interview preparation assistance. Additionally, it provides peer support for unemployed youth, fostering encouragement and support among participants.
The program particularly encourages unemployed Black youth in particular, who are not currently in the education system, to contact us.
Best Educational and Exploration Camping Hub (B.E.E.C.H) is a summer STEM and Adventure camp offers youth an opportunity to engage and grow through recreation and education. To see when the next summer camp will be run, follow our Facebook page and check our Events page on our website for all of the latest events.

GAME (Guidance, Athletics, Mentoring, Education) is a youth initiative by Re-Imagine Ontario, tailored for young males aged 10-17 who might benefit from paternal or peer guidance.
Our program harnesses the power of sports and outdoor activities, to provide a dynamic environment where participants can grow under the mentorship of positive male role models. These role models come from diverse backgrounds including high school and college students, working professionals, religious leaders, and local police officers.
Through engaging activities and consistent support, GAME aims to build self-confidence, resilience, friendship, and a strong sense of community among participants. It offers team sports, outdoor adventures, and community engagement activities. These sessions promote mental health and physical well-being, social and conflict resolution skills, awareness about hate crimes, and a deeper understanding of community and cultural values.
GAME is more than just a program – it’s a pathway to empowering young men to lead fulfilled, responsible lives.

Re-Imagine Ontario wants to spread our message that we can be the change we seek through hope, compassion and action. We believe that a single action can make a difference in our communities, and that collective action can change the world. Through action, partnership, and outreach, Re-Imagine Ontario works tirelessly each day to support, and change perceptions about the most vulnerable among us. Come join us as we work to change lives.
Our vision is to foster healthier communities for youth and their families, and seniors who are facing socioeconomic vulnerabilities.
We see value in everyone. For a brief moment, let’s reimagine Ontario where everyone can share the Canadian dream regardless of race, gender, age, religion, or politics. Where we look out for each other and support the most vulnerable among us. Where a culture of care is the norm rather than the exception.
We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and we are driven by the same ideas we initially founded our organization upon: support, empowerment, progress, and changing lives.
Our mission is to improve the health, education and employment of vulnerable individuals, with particular focus on black youth, through community networks, development opportunities, and family supports.
Our youth mental health programs address the problem in Ontario where one in five young person is not fully accessing the mental help they need. Low income and racialized youth are among those most impacted.
We also address mental health in seniors through our West of 55 Friends program for isolated seniors ages 55+
We also do our part to help with better outcomes in education, especially in vulnerable communities. If young people have role models from within their communities, they will benefit from them. Our mentoring programs introduce young people to successful people from within their own communities, who will share their own stories and provide useful life lessons.
We also offer employment support to struggling youth who are not employed or neither in the education system, but who are actively trying to find work.
The organization’s values are upheld by the respect it shows to its most valued resources, which are its staff, volunteers and the people it serves in the community.
